2012 Golden Globes

The Descendants and The Artist were big winners at the 2012 Golden Globes, which were held on January 14. 

The Descendants won the Best Motion Picture-drama Award, which was a category that contained extraordinary movies, such as the hit movie Moneyball. George Clooney picked up best performance by an actor in a motion picture drama for Descendants, a very well deserved award.

The Artist picked up the award for best original score composed by Ludovic Bource, a very important award and very well deserved for a silent movie. Jean Dujardin picked up best performance by an actor in a motion picture comedy or musical, for his amazing acting work in a silent movie.

The Artist is about a silent movie star, George Valentin, who wonders if the arrival of talking pictures will cause him to fade into oblivion; he sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer set for a big break.

The Descendants is a movie about a land baron that tries to re-connect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident. Directed by Alexander Payne and based on the novel “Descendants” by Kaui Hart Hemmings.

If you’re into a movie that’s going to make you laugh and touch your heart at the same time then The Descendants is for you.

If you’re looking for something classical or rare go see the artist it’s like something you’ve never seen before, garneted to be one of the best movies in 2011.
